Summer nights, forgotten dreams

It's taken me 3 listens to decide, but I'm definitely liking Switzerland's ESC entry. After the weather-induced depression of the last few weeks, there's no better tonic than the start of a new Eurovision season.Sadly I can't see this one reaching the final, but it is a good tune, and I love the idea of "it's raining gold".Anything but more snow.

Been out of the loop for the past couple of weeks so only hearing this now, but on first hearing I quite like this too. He's a little freaky-looking though but who cares? For some reason I can imagine Christophe Willem (OK first album Christophe Willem, rather than second album Christophe Willem) singing this! It's got a kind-of "Kiss The Bride"-vibe to it. Which can only be a good thing.

Yeah, this guy doesn't really fit the song in terms of look or voice, but I think that makes it a bit more interesting.I like the gravelly, typical French sound of his voice mixed with what is basically a camp-as-they-come Europop song. And I love the dramatic title.Christophe should definitely cover it on his next album :)
