I'm leaving Paris,I know I'll pay for it later

Mini obsession of the day today is Julien Doré- winner of the *checks...* fifth series of Nouvelle Star.Turns out he's playing at the Olympia near Montmartre in a few months time.If I'm still into him then then I must go.Anyway, here's one of his catchy songs- Les Limites.

I'm loving his other single Figures Imposées too.Must remember to look for the album (Ersatz) in FNAC this week.

Julien definitely divides the French - he's seen either as a bad parody or a genius. He definitely does not fit the airbrushed Idol winner mode, and so many artists in France take themselves so seriously, there's room for someone like him. I feel personally he's like a joke that never stops, but I'd definitely tap that if the feeling was mutual.

Oh I think you'd be mad not to tap that given the chance.I'm not really up on my French music- I know Jonatan Cerrada and Raphael and that's about it.But yeah,I thought Julien was a bit different to the norm, which for me is generally a good thing.

I'll admit I wasn't a fan of his when he was in Nouvelle Star but I like "Les Limites" and he also appeared on Star Academy last year and that was quite funny too. Jonatan and Christophe Willem are still my favourite Nouvelle Star winners. Thanks for tipping us off about the new series starting, I'm a bit out of touch with French stuff at the minute as my life at the moment seems to revolve around certain Swedish singers :)))))

Ah Jonatan...*snaps back into real world*- I don't know Christophe Willem (or any of the other NS winners actually),so will have to check him out.One thing I love about France is that, unlike in Germany, there's plenty of local music on the radio,so I'm hoping to find plenty of cool new singers to listen to.
